Teresa Rogers Workshop: Stencil and Texture

Postponed from much earlier this year, Teresa’s workshop finally happened. Much fun was had.

Teresa reminded every one of her stencilling texture techniques and we all dived in to her extensive collection of ready made stencils.

First we laid down a first layer of colourful, overlapping stencil shapes using acrylic paint. Then we stood back and decided on the next step. Some chose to use larger stencils and a fine felt tip to draw guidelines for the next layer, some chose to follow their own ideas, The final step was to choose an appropriate colour to block out a bold design. Teresa circulated, gently egging us on (More colours! Bolder!).

Some vivid, highly textured paintings were produced. A very satisfying morning.
