Workshop: Drawing Adventures

So, this is what we did:

• The Mystery Object Challenge

  Put your hand behind your back. A mystery object is placed in it. Can you draw the shape, texture accurately?

  Now rest the object on the table in front of you. Holding the end of your pencil, can you draw it accurately in one continuous line?

  Arrange the objects on the table in front of you, can you draw them all in one continuous line (shadows included)?

• The Non-dominant Hand Challenge

  Swap your objects round. Swap your pencil/charcoal into your non-dominant hand, Can you draw your objects accurately? Can you draw your hand?

• The Charcoal on the End of the Stick Challenge

  Here’s a lovely vase of tulips. Can you draw it from a distance?

  Yes, there was a fair amount of hilarity - but we did produce some lovely loose drawings.
