Plein Air: Hengistbury Head

Another glorious day for painting - beautiful clear blue sky and brilliant sunshine.

We met up at the little cafe by the car park, then climbed aboard the little sand train that took us (and a selection of families with toddlers and pushchairs) to the beach huts at Mudeford Sand Spit.

Once we arrived, we were spoiled for choice. On one side, the views out across the nature reserve towards Christchurch Harbour with sparkling water and small boats bobbing along, and on the other the rows of pastel coloured beach huts facing the sand dunes with families and small children enjoying a cheerful day on the beach.

The hours flew by.
