Art Together Sessions

We are trying something new in November. After looking at your responses to the questionnaire, we found that there was some support for sessions for members to work together. We have a real wealth of talent in this art club in a variety of media so we came up with the idea of informal workshops where members could share a particular skill, or a really good technique that they had learned at a workshop elsewhere, or just paint together.

We will be trying this out during the Ceramics workshops. It’s a very large room with space for the ceramicists to work at one end and the Art Together group to work at the other.

For those who don’t usually attend ceramics, sessions take place in the Activity Centre at Greyfriars from 2.00-4.30 on the last Tuesday of the month, so the next one is on Tuesday, 29th November.

Elvie has volunteered to kick off this experiment with a still life challenge. She is going to set up a still life for you to draw, paint, model or collage (anything you wish). Just bring your usual painting kit, an easel and paper - and enjoy working in company. There will be a charge of £3 per session towards the hire of the room.

If you would like to come and join us, please book, places are limited!
