Art Together: Our First Session

Those of us who regularly join the plein air sessions will tell you that working with a group of other artists is a fine experience. Not only for the good company but for the learning from others that enriches our art. Art together is just like plein air but without the howling gales, freezing rain and the wasps. For our first session, Elvie set up a still life on an autumnal theme, rich in colour, shape and texture. It was quite a challenge. We had artists working in ink, acrylic, oils and coloured pencil - all producing terrific work. (We also got to watch the ceramicists working away at the other end of the hall - which was also fascinating.)

Our next session is 31st January in the Greyfriars Activity Centre. Do come and join us; we’ll remember to bring the biscuit tin next time! Contact Ann if you’re coming.

Ceramics is also open for new recruits - contact Jan if you would like a taster session. (Go on - we know you watched Throwdown..!)
