Plein Air in Christchurch

Members enjoyed some lovely weather in Christchurch: sunny, but not too hot, and a blue sky resplendent with interesting cloud formations.

There was a lot to choose from. Most members opted for the quay with its array of yachts, sparkling water and wide view towards the other bank. Others went around the corner, along the river to the Priory. The building stayed serenely in place - while the boats came and went with no concern for the artist.

As the morning wore on, there were lots of interested folk coming up to chat and watch us work. We also had the benefit of of advice from the resident swans, who clearly felt that humans existed to feed them and expressed their disappointment with the odd beak-nudge.
